About me

READING YOUR NOLO GUIDE
Now that you have received your NOLO guide you can begin reading through the pages, highlighting as you go.   Do NOT get overwhelmed!  I remember flipping through the pages of the book and throwing it aside several times.  (lol)  As with anything in life, taking it one step at a time will get you to the end.  I recommend reading chapters 1 - 5, highlighting what you feel is important to remember, and moving forward.  This will get your thoughts moving on how to best proceed and will help focus you on the benefits for your organization.

ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
Using the CD-ROM provided with the book and the detailed explanations by line in chapter 6, you can open the sample articles of incorporation and alter them to include the information about YOUR organization.  They make it so easy!  REMEMBER TO SAVE YOUR WORK!!
Your state may require additional forms to be filed when incorporating, such as bylaws (see below).  The information for your state is included in the NOLO book.  Follow the directions FOR YOUR STATE and prepare your incorporation papers.

CREATING YOUR BYLAWS
Using the CD-ROM provided with the NOLO book and the detailed explanations by line in chapter 7, you can open the sample bylaws and alter them to include the information about YOUR organization.  Again, they make it so easy!  REMEMBER TO SAVE YOUR WORK!!
