Week Five Assignments

Complete this by our next meeting. I'm reminding you again that you do NOT need to memorize the material. Just continue to absorb what you can. Continue digging deeper by completing all the assignments.

*Parents - it's time to schedule the DANTES exam for five to six weeks from now. Use the link about the "test" on the toolbar.

1) Read chapter 5 of the "Elements of Technical Writing" book. Again, continue taking notes as you read, using an outline method, as this will help you to remember. Take notes on things that are difficult or new to you. You guys are doing an excellent job!

2) Read part 5 of the "Idiot's" guide.

3) View any of the applicable online eHow "Laura Turner Writers Series" at http://www.ehow.com/videos-on_9019_technical-writing-skills.html AND at http://www.ehow.com/videos-on_9616_creative-writing-tips-students-teachers.html
Some of these videos will be helpful. Ignore those that are not applicable. You may also search the eHow.com video library (top search tool bar) for additional technical writing videos. eHow is a great resource for instructional videos and it's free. Watch any videos that correspond with your current reading material.
