About Crossway Community

We are a network of South Jersey families, from various backgrounds, who are commited to home educating their children. Through our yahoogroups loop, we are able to provide a place to exchange information and support, sharing important news about upcoming educational opportunities.  We encourage each other through prayer and friendship as we walk the road along the homeschool journey.

Please note this is a Christian group believing and operating on Biblical standards. This is a faith-based loop but ALL are welcome!!

We strive to support the Christian homeschool family and, therefore, you may find that there are often posts concerning conservative political news or Christian action alerts.  Most members have an integrated approach with their Christian faith and their homeschool, and these topics are often a priority for discussion on the loop.  If at any time you find this troubling, please feel free to unsub.

This list is for those who are CURRENTLY homeschooling OR have HS Grads. The purpose of this group is to provide a place to exchange homeschool information, receive reminders for upcoming HS events, post and respond to prayer requests, and to allow off-topic (OT) posts as well. This is an inter-denominational Christian loop and any off-topic posts that are in conflict with Christian beliefs will NOT be allowed (ie, pro-abortion).

All group conflicts are handled according to Biblical principals.  Members are encouraged to resolve all disagreements directly.  No flaming or provoking of other members is permitted.  All group volunteers must be in agreement with the group description, purpose and guidelines before volunteering.  This includes those who organize Crossway sponsored monthly events OR who moderate the eGroup, etc.  Volunteers agree to work together to put the needs of the group ahead of personal preferences.  By handling conflicts as a "Christ-centered" team volunteers agree to avoid disunity, sabotaging or divisiveness.

Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death and resurrection, in His present ministry as our Great High Priest and that we now await His imminent, bodily return.
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and is therefore lost, except through the repentance of sin and the acceptance of Jesus Christ as a personal Savior.
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict men of their sin, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living.
We believe that as followers of Christ, we are called to see the lost saved, the saved matured, and the mature in service.

Ages
We have a large age range within our group from infants right on up through highschool.

Our Size
We currently have over 130 families on the email support loop.
