You're doing great! Try to complete all assignments by our next meeting. I'm reminding you again that
you do NOT need to memorize the material. Just continue to absorb what you can. Continue digging deeper
by answering the questions. And once again, continue regularly reviewing your laminated "exam notes" card as well.
**Try taking the Practice Test #1 in the REA book and researching your incorrect answers. Don't worry about your
results. You will correct your weaknesses by studying the right answers.** |
|
1) Read pages 88 - 106 of the REA book, completing any questions or drills that may
be within the reading. Again, continue taking notes as you read, using an outline method, to help you to remember.
I am so impressed by your results!
2) Continue regularly reviewing the REA Examnotes, making flashcards to reinforce any difficult
terms. IMPORTANT - continue quizzing yourself on the cards you have made so far.
3) **We will now begin completing the exercise booklet.**
Read and complete "Part 6 - Style" of the "Keys for Writers"
handbook AND pages 1 - 10 of the corresponding exercise booklet. **Important - complete
only the lettered questions (a.b.c.), NOT the numbered questions (1. 2. 3.). The answers for all lettered exercises
are in the back of the exercise booklet.**
We need to keep the pace up so we stay on target. Reminder: Don't obsess about note taking
in the REA, as most of this is review from the other readings. Take notes on things that are new or difficult for you
in the reading.
At our next meeting we will:
-review all flashcards
-review any drill questions or quizzes from the previous weeks
assignments
-will answer your own questions
-will view more of the video tape | | |
